So hopefully you’ll see some decent films in this section.

150. Lockout

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

Sci-fi action with Guy Pearce and Maggie Grace. It doesn’t take itself seriously, and nor should you. Good fun.

149. Birds Of Prey: And The Fabulous Emancipation Of One Harley Quinn

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

I wish they’d put more thought into the title. Who knows where this sits in the DCEU, but I don’t think DC care. If it’s good it can sit wherever it wants.

148. Sonic The Hedgehog

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

Yes that’s right, I gave it 3 stars. I really enjoyed it and I can’t wait for the sequel. There’s a sequel coming right?

147. Zombieland: Double Tap

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

Nice to see the gang again.

146. Resident Evil

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

The original, but is it the best? Well no, if you’ve been counting you’ll know there’s one left. Still, I really like the slice and dice scene.

145. Hudson Hawk

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

This film surprised me. I’d always assumed it was shit. In some ways, yes it’s majorly cheesy, but my god it’s good fun.

144. How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

Rom com fun with Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

143. The Bone Collector

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

Quite standard thriller. Good film, enough going on, yeah liked it. Not sure what else to say.

142. The Mask Of Zorro

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

Action, adventure, swords and masks! if you like these things, please consider The Mask Of Zorro as a film to watch one night.

141. The Transporter Refuelled

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

The keen eyed ones will have noticed this is the highest ranked Transporter film. It is also the reboot. I didn’t have high hopes for a Transporter reboot, but this was great fun. No need for brains, just turn on and enjoy.

140. Paddleton

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

A lovely film about two friends, one of which is dying and wants help ending things. Funny, sad and lovely all in one.

139. Resident Evil: Afterlife

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

Here it is, the highest ranked Resident Evil film. It’s the fourth entry (I think), and most enjoyable one. Set in a prison, and with an all out war of a finale, it had to be my favourite.

138. Breakdown

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

This has been on my list watch since it came out in 1997. I even had the film poster on my wall. Was it worth the wait? Well I liked it.

137. Father Of The Bride

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

Haven’t tracked the sequel down yet, but really like Steve Martin in prime father figure mode. Made me want to watch Parenthood again. If you haven’t seen Parenthood, I suggest you rectify that straight away.

136. Bad Taste

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

Wow wow wow. This has to seen to be believed. Peter Jackson’s directorial debut is absolutely crazy and amazing, all in one. Didn’t read the synopsis beforehand, and am glad. The surprise made it that much better.

135. Last Christmas

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

It seems strange talking about this after Bad Taste. Anyway, Last Christmas was a hoot. Emilia Clarke is great in it, and I will probably watch it again next Christmas.

134. Night Of The Living Dead

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

Last Christmas is sandwiched between Bad Taste and Night Of The Living Dead. Interesting. The classic horror film, that paved the way for so much of modern day film.

133. You’ve Got Mail

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

Damn Nora Ephron can make a film. It’s prime Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. Hmm I wonder if this group of people will be in my list later with another film.

132. Joker

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

I know some people reading this will think this is the greatest superhero movie, well you’re wrong. Only joking, you’re entitled to your opinion. My opinion is that it’s so focused on being an edgy R rated film that could be mainstream, it just seemed to smacking you round the face with it. Look how edgy we are! Plus side, thought the cinematography was amazing, and Joaquin did a great job. Probably won’t watch it again.

131. Superbob

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

A very British superhero film. Loved the documentary style and it actually did something other superhero films have never done. I won’t tell you what it is though, that’ll spoil the surprise.

130. Tower Heist

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

A fun heist movie, I miss them. I can only think of this and Ocean’s 8 recently. Oh and Going In Style. Anyway, it’s not enough, I want more. This was fun.

129. Django

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

So what was the original Django film like? Will now I know, brutal and brilliant. Also love that Django is played by Franco Nero, who was General Esperanza in Die Hard 2.

128. Midway

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

I didn’t have high hopes for this film, so was pleasantly surprised. Great cast, engaging plot, and full of action and suspense. Also taught me a bit more about the Midway in World War II.

127. Gangster Squad

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

A stylish gangster movie that’s a cross between The Untouchables and L.A Confidential.

126. Angel Has Fallen

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

A huge improvement on the second one. The ‘bourbon and bad choices’ man is back, and this time he’s been framed for the the attempted murder of the President.

125. Patrick

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

Halfway through the list and we have a cute dog. Patrick is a sweet funny film. Great fun.

124. The Passion Of Joan Of Arc

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

Very different to Patrick. An amazing silent film, and truly powerful.

123. Love Story

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

Well this was a lovely story, and then a kick in the guts.

122. The Adjustment Bureau

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

I joked for years this was a film about a reshuffling of a department in the FBI. Turns out I was completely wrong. Loved it.

121. Jay And Silent Bob Reboot

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

It was great to see the old gang back together. A reboot of the original one, but still different, it was good fun.

120. Signs

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

Amazingly this is only the third M. Night Shyamalan film I’ve seen. I enjoyed this, and was happy to see Joaquin Phoenix wearing a tinfoil hat.

119. Hitch

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

Another rom com that I hadn’t seen. It’s a common theme. Nice and enjoyable film.

118. Unstoppable

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

Tony Scott has made some of my all time favourite films. This was his last, and another great action movie. He knew how to make them.

117. Red Heat

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

Red Heat and Raw Deal were two Annie films I have never got round to watching. Well I can tick one of the list.

116. Magnum Force

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

Sequel to Dirty Harry (we’ll come on to that later), this is a great film. It ups the anti from the previous instalment but doesn’t tame the violence to make more at the box office..

115. Hot Rod

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

Brilliant work from The Lonely Island group, but Ian McShane steals the film for me.

114. Breathless

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

An extraordinary film. Also, Jean-Paul Belmondo is the coolest person with a cigarette.

113. Wonder Woman

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

Yes another superhero film. Wonder Woman is better in some ways, yet also completely the same as every other superhero film.

112. The Head Hunter

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

This was an interesting film. A fantasy horror film with one person in it. Slow burning, tense and brilliant.

111. Young Frankenstein

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

Classic Mel Brooks, had me in stitches for the simplest of gags.

110. The Seventh Seal

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

Another absolute classic. Max von Sydow plays chess with the Grim Reaper.

109. The Duellists

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

A rivalry that spans a lot of years. I sometimes wonder whether I should have a nemesis. It sounds fun.

108. Miracle On 34th Street (1994)

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

Yes the one with the girl from Mrs Doubtfire and Matilda. It might also interest you to know, I watched this on 5th May.

107. Blue Juice

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

As someone who moved to Devon for surfing, I really should have watched this film long before now. I went for this picture instead of Catherine Zeta-Jones in her underwear. I was very tempted though.

106. Top Secret!

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

Bit like Young Frankenstein, I was laughing at the simplest of gags. Brilliant work, Val Kilmer deserved an Oscar.

105. Friday The 13th

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

The original, and yes, the best. A classic horror film, and a staple for any horror fanatic.

104. Onibaba

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

This was a surprise. Having a bit of a Japanese phase, I picked this at random. This is fantastic horror film. I highly recommend it.

103. Mortal Engines

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

I would say this split audiences, but I don’t know anyone else who liked it. So on my own, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s my John Carter!

102. Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

Is this the underrated trilogy of the 21st century? No one talks about it, but I have loved the first two. Still yet to watch War For The Planet Of The Apes.

101. Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars

Couldn’t really split these two. Loved both of them, but put this one slightly higher due to Gary Oldman.

To be continued…
