This is my last ‘Five Films Of’ for a while. I’ve picked 2004 and it was another hard one to pick 5 films. I’ve gone for ones that people may not have seen.

13 Going On 30

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

Quick Verdict: It has thriller

I don’t think I watched this film until I was at least 30, so probably 10 years after it came out. It’s a really funny, endearing film that is one that I have come back to a couple of times. A nice rom-com with heart and great Michael Jackson, Thriller dance off.

Dawn Of The Dead

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

Quick Verdict: Zombie mall

I know zombie film experts will be horrified to read this, but I really like this and prefer it to the original. A shopping mall, zombies, guns and blood. Great mix and a decent film.

National Treasure

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

Quick Verdict: Adventure perfection

This is a guilty pleasure, one that I’m not ashamed of. This is a great adventure film, with a great plot, great cast and Sean Bean. What more could you want. The sequel is not quite so good.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

Quick Verdict: Life is miserable

You are warned that you may come out of this film depressed. That aside, this is a great film. A lot of brilliant performances, filled with deceit and love.

Garden State

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

Quick Verdict: My film love

This is one of my all time favourite films. I was twenty-one when this film came out, I really connected with it. I was slightly obsessed with Zach Braff and Natalie Portman and seeing the performances in this film, it’s not hard to see why. Definitely worth a watch.
