So I have posted everyday this year and this is my 100th post in a row. When I started on January 1st, I thought I’d do a couple of posts a week nothing special, but then I started getting a notification. ‘You are on a 5 day streak,’ Oh that’s good. ‘You are on a 20 day streak.’ Well I never thought I’d do that many. When I got up to 50 posts I knew I’d want to keep going to 100 posts, and here we are.
I did have to post this and then add the picture above.
So what to do with my 100th post in a row? Well it’s got to be a highlights of the last 99 posts.
Favourite films I’ve reviewed.
Although not the most stars I’ve given a film, my favourite films I’ve watched and reviewed this year are The Breaker Upperers and Anna And The Apocalypse.
Anna And The Apocalypse I only watched last week, but had the soundtrack on most days since. It’s the zombie, Christmas, musical we’ve all been waiting for. Here’s my review.
The Breaker Upperers is one of those films you catch something new each time that makes you laugh. An instant New Zealand classic. Here are my thoughts on it.
Most viewed review.
So here are the top 5 film reviews with the most views. I’ve stuck the link to their review as well. Apart from 5 & 4 as they are above.
5. Anna And The Apocalypse
Such a good film. I keep saying it, but it does have zombies, christmas and it’s a musical.
4. The Breaker Upperers
A great New Zealand comedy.
3. A Quiet Place
A very tense horror. I can’t wait for the sequel.
2. The Night Eats The World
This zombie film shows you the sensible things you should do. Well for the most part.
1. I Think We’re Alone Now
This has the most views by a long way. A great film by the very talented Reed Morano.
Most viewed post
This post has had the most views of all my posts ever, let alone just this year. Big thanks goes to Film Stories and Starburst Magazine who retweeted it more than once.
It was my A-Z Of Film. F = Film Magazines
Least viewed post
Well unfortunately there has to be a post that the fewest have viewed. That post was also an A-Z Of film. Last weeks M = Montage. I have put the link for people to give it a go.
My favourite post
So as the author of this film blog I get to write whatever I want, and then just cradle my phone and hope people, 1) read it, and 2) like it. So going through my 99 posts, I think my favourite post was the one where I probably got the most nervous about whether people would like it, and that was ‘A Film Tribute To My Dad.’ Posted on what would have been his 76th birthday, I spoke about what my Dad liked and disliked in film.
Just a bit of a thank you to everyone who has read any of my posts this year and has been reading them since I started five years ago. When I look at my stats to see how many people have read my posts, I’m amazed at how far and wide people read them. So thanks everyone who reads from all these countries.
