Quick Verdict: Mary Poppins 3: This shit just got real.
So Tully is the story of Marlo, mother of three children who hires a night nanny to help with her newborn baby.
I didn’t really know what to expect from this. I’ve seen the director Jason Reitman’s previous work on Juno and really liked it, but not seen anything else.
This film is really good and Charlize Theron and Mackenzie Davis are amazing. Charlize’s performance particularly is so real and honest, you really feel for her. Which then resonates throughout the film. This has no bells and whistles on it, it’s as real to life as possible and the marriage isn’t perfect, but they are happy. It certainly does not give you a glamourised version of parenthood.
